T.O.D.

A large-scale transit-oriented development in Chongqing, China — the country's first high-speed railway TOD. The design integrates high-speed rail, three subway lines, residential towers, and mixed-use development into an urban living room. Ground and terrace-level experiences unfold as a story about trains — yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

• —Contributed to Concept, Schematic and Design Development for hardscape, planting, themed public amenities, seating, light fixtures, railway-themed paving patterns, and rooftop gardens and social spaces.
• —Internal and external project manager for the transit-oriented development; led detail design for key public features before handing drawings to the local documentation team for construction detailing.
• —Led design across Chinese transportation designers, Japanese architects and German interior designers to integrate high-speed rail, three subway lines and mixed-use development into a multi-level public realm.
• —Developed ground- and terrace-level experiences as a continuous public narrative across the district; visited the site multiple times for client presentations, site research and during construction.
